Dr Emilija Chouseas, DDS

Dr Emilija Chouseas obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Belgrade, School of Dentistry in 2007. She moved to Sydney soon after, where she completed the Australian Dental Council Exam and started practicing as a General Dentist in Australia.

She is a member of Australian Dental Association and Australian Society of Periodontology and has been a dedicated Clinical Educator and Lecturer at the University of Sydney School of Dentistry since 2015. She teaches first to final year Doctor of Dental Medicine Program students, providing clinical and simulation supervision and assessments in the areas of Periodontics, Tooth Conservation, Tooth morphology and Fixed Prosthodontics.

Dr Emilija is passionate about evidence based patient-centred care and strives to be up to date with newest materials and techniques by attending various courses and seminars.

She practices all aspects of General dentistry with a special interest in restorative, preventive and children’s dentistry. As such, she has been involved in providing early educational presentations to preschool kids as she is an advocate of “Prevention is better than cure”.

When she is not teaching dental students or practicing dentistry, Dr Emilija loves spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys Latin dancing, nature, travelling, cooking new dishes and training budgies.
